Do I have to pay VAT?Yes if the delivery address is within the EU. In the EU VAT (Value Added Tax) is charged on the movement of goods regardless of who pays for it. VAT rates do vary from product to product, with some products being exempt from VAT. There are currently 3 rates of VAT: - a standard rate, currently 17.5% - a reduced rate, currently 5%; and - a zero rate.
So any goods delivered within the EU are liable to VAT even if the purchaser is in the US. If, however, you are having goods delivered outside of the EU then any VAT on the products ordered will be deducted during the checkout process.
